I don’t know about your house, but around here, we love condiments!
So, when you have limited space to work with (your fridge) and you don’t want to buy 3 different cuts of pickles, what do you do?
Buy them whole and slice them how you want them! That also keeps from me worrying about having to throw away and *waste* jars of pickles.
With a mandolin, it literally takes just seconds! This is one of the best kitchen gadgets.
I could totally use the food processor, but this is such fast cleanup, it’s not worth getting the food processor and all its parts out of the cabinet.

Be very careful of your fingers! This is one kitchen prep that my kids are not allowed to do yet.
I just cut enough for that meal. We had grilled burgers with cheese, pickles, lettuce, tomatoes and spicy brown mustard on a whole wheat bun. YUM! You can’t forget a few barbecue chips at our house (there would be a mutiny). I love an easy, quick but super-tasty meal! Cheaper and yummier than McDonald’s!
