This is another wreath that took several tries to get it right. At first I wanted to make a tulle wreath like this one, but it was such a craft fail. I used black, green, purple and orange tulle. It looked like the circus vomited on my door. I took all the tulle and made four little Halloween tutus for my four little girls. Waste not, right?
I decided I needed to stick with the classic orange black and white. I started over again on my wreath. I stopped at Michael’s (“Mom, do we have to?”) when I was out grocery shopping and got a grapevine wreath. I sprayed that puppy black. Then I added a orange glitter spider from the target dollar spot.
I had this little spooky sign I got from Target (the day after Halloween) for 50 cents a few years ago and never found a good spot for it. It was the perfect size but the letters kind of disappeared on my dark door. So when I was at Hobby Lobby, (“This is not my favorite store, Mom.”) I couldn’t find any striped or chevron orange and white paper, which is what I really wanted. It all had black in it, which I thought would make it hard to read the letters. So I found this orange and white damask and went with that. I hot glued the paper to the back, trimmed the excess paper off and hung it on the wreath.
I loved the flowers on the our best bites wreath, so I grabbed the orange glitter leaves (while I was buying the wreath at Michael’s) on clearance for $3.00. I made a few flowers with fabric I already had and I also stuck on these 10 cent zebra stripe flowers from Hobby Lobby’s summer clearance. A few sprigs of tulle tucked here and there and it was done!
I love it! It’s worth it to keep going until you get it right! 🙂

I do love wreaths. Maybe you should make me some 😉
Obviously, I can barely make my own 😉 That's why I can't do more than one or two crafts per holiday. It takes me FOREVER. Christmas kills me. There's so much I would like to do and time for almost none of it!
I love it! It is all cute, but my favorite parts are that you sprayed it black, and the glitter leaves/fabric flowers/tuelle combo. Creative and cute as per your norm!
Found your blog through a link party! Loving the wreaths! Amazing ideas 🙂 thank you for sharing!
